I called and asked if I could get the ground floor for a senior citizen. The person who answered the phone said I’d reserved the room on the first floor, and no rooms were available. I thought that if the rooms were unavailable, he should tell me if any room became available during check-in, there might be a possibility, but instead, he said I should get the room for what I was paying for.
I thought it was wrong, so I called again, and the same person picked up the phone. I asked him if I could still get the ground floor and pay a difference, and as far as I know, before a guest check-in, the room assignment can be arranged based on preference during check-in and availability. But he said no. So, I asked to talk to the manager, thinking the person who answered the phone probably didn’t know if it could be done. But he said he was the manager, and suddenly he got pissed because I told him what could be done. After a heated conversation, he told me he could make the arrangements, but he didn’t want to because I told him how things are done, and he didn’t like that.
After reading other reviews on Google, etc., I don’t think the manager takes it seriously in all his responses to his customer's previous reviews. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have written this review to complain about lousy customer service. By the way, the rooms on the first floor are much better than the ground floor because of the noise. I’m glad he didn’t switch the room!!!
