"This was an absolutely terrible experience, never in my entire life I have been treated like this after spending my money I highly recommend that this person be barred from using this platform for their shady business I was insulted by security guards telling me they are doing me a favor to sort out this woman’s incompetence we weren’t even given a code to enter the house we had to go back to security. "The property was beautiful and well maintained. We stayed in the two bedroom, one bath building. The rooms were nice but unfortunately the building was on the backside of the resort by the water park and offered no nice views of the pools, beaches, or ocean. The only disappointment with the resort was the the “teen room”, the hours were never followed as posted and when my son was actually able to get in there, he was met with rudeness from the staff members. He told me about it, so I went back with him, only to find out everything that was posted about the space, for the kids to enjoy themselves, was broken or missing. The gaming tables were broken but when the staff member opened the locked cabinet, all items were inside for the kids to enjoy themselves with but the staff members didn’t want the kids to play with them, quite odd in my opinion. The staff just wanted to use the space as a relaxing, air conditioned space so they didn’t have to work outside, IMO."

"Preferences: convenience, location, and walkable to restaurants and entertainment. Two floors - all areas appeared well maintained; and the staff is excellent. Breakfast -Jamaican or American breakfast, and individual options if desired; very satisfied with breakfast options. Had breakfast only. Private airport shuttle (ask about price) and other amenities - contact the hotel for other options."

"I like the location as I enjoy being able to walk into town for an authentic experience. The pool area and the beach area is great, no seaweed and super soft sand. Lots of water sports available and I liked that you could take the snorkel boat right from the property. Great bathroom amenities in the room and comfy beds. We got lucky with quick check in and check out. The hydrotherapy area in the spa was very nice and relaxing but spa treatments were very overpriced, I was forgotten about in the relaxation room after my treatment for over an hour and when I got my eyebrows waxed she got dripped hot wax onto my hair and did not even attempt to get it out or apologize. The food was ok, nothing great. The jerk shack was good but the Japanese restaurant was super salty. Crepes, coffee and gelato were yummy but the cakes tasted plastic. The staff was nice and friendly. I HATED the constant sales pitch to buy into the Palace brand to get fake resort credits vs resort cash and what you could and not use the fake money for. AC seemed to stop working very well the night before we left, the loud bar was super hot and empty due to this reason. The DJ at the disco was horrible but the entertainment staff were always trying their best to get everyone involved. No non alcoholic options available . Resort does smell yummy."

"Pro and cons. My plan was to sit at the resort and not do anything else. Pros Round trip airport shuttle Food included/drinks Clear beach next door Boat/kayak Lifeguard on deck Cons Didn’t feel welcomed when dining there. The servers weren’t very friendly. There are more pros than cons, but I know customer service can either make or break your trip. This was definitely a break moment. Would I stay here again, no."

"We traveled as a family of 3 with a toddler age 2. Overall, we enjoyed the all inclusive amenities offered at this facility. I felt there is something to keep my toddler occupied everyday -big shoutout to the kiddie water park. The food is fantastic at the buffet and the Sport Bar (24/7) and the drinks at all the bar are equally amazing. Since the resort is newer, the rooms are new and up to date with decors/furnitures. There are few things that could have made the experience 5/5. First. As an interracial couple, beware you will get all kind of looks especially disgust from staff as well as fellow vacationer. Typically, I don't let these stuff get to me but when it's majority of the people you encountered give you the same look, things become uncomfortable. However, there are equally the same amount of people who are beyond great and we appreciate their kindness and friendliness. If you plan to book a la carte date night, not all the restaurant are equal and we were very disappointed at Kyoto. However, the steak house made up for it. We enjoyed the pools that allowed children and like that there are multiple pools dedicated for adults. Riu is very family oriented so if you want peace, I would suggest adult only. Our Oceanview room was beautiful. Big shout out to our housekeeper, Aliyah, for making the room extra special each day! Shoutout to Annalee and Kodi in the buffet. We're not a big all inclusive, but this visit might change our minds."
