"First the good: Turtles in courtyard fountain! I noticed they were friendly to humans, so I asked at the front desk and was given a small bowl of food to offer the turtles. As an animal lover, this was truly the highlight of my stay here. I loved it when they took food directly from my hand! The balconies off the rooms are very small but are also quaint and felt intimate. Clean bedding, responsive staff. Very walkable to points of interest. When we pulled in the first night, there was not a single parking spot left. The gentleman at the front desk came outside to assist us with where to put our car, which was very much appreciated since this was our first time in Romania. Breakfast was a positive experience as well.
The not-so-good: On our first full day, our room flooded due to plumbing. Staff quickly moved us to another room. Our room was not down a hallway, but the hallways I saw were carpeted in what had to have been very old carpet, and did not look very sanitary. The common areas were clean, but it seems the hotel needs to do some maintenance. A smoking area right at a point where, when the door opens, the smoke wafts inside, was not appealing at all."
