"A Perfect Introduction to Sri Lankan Hospitality Our stay at Wilpattu Tree House was nothing short of amazing and served as a perfect introduction to the warm and thoughtful hospitality of Sri Lanka. From the moment we arrived, the hosts made sure every detail was taken care of, creating an experience that was both comfortable and memorable. One of our highlights was the safari tour of Wilpattu National Park, which our hosts graciously arranged for us. The driver they connected us with was clearly experienced and knew all the best spots to find the animals we were hoping to see — it felt like a true insider experience! Back at the treehouse, I found myself fully immersed in the peaceful surroundings. Resting on a lounge chair and listening to the sounds of the jungle was the perfect way to unwind and reconnect with nature. This place offers more than just a stay — it’s a peaceful window into the natural beauty, kind people, and rich culture of Sri Lanka. We also truly enjoyed the authentic Sri Lankan meals, full of flavor and clearly prepared with care. I wholeheartedly recommend Wilpattu Tree House to anyone looking for a unique and serene getaway. "The main reason i score this hotel 1 star is because the hotel manager ripped me off on a tour.. he charged me 130 euro on the basis i was the only booking… he subsequently sold a couple later that day and charged them 80 euro each… of course i asked what they paid, so i was annoyed and told him… eventually he refunded approx 25 euro… not a good experience at all… One other small but interesting point.. one breakfast i didn’t get to choose from the menu.. i was served beef curry..without a choice, from the last nights dinner menu Don’t stay here!!!"

"The Heritage is set in a fabulous location, in magnificent grounds on the edge of a lake, peaceful and comfortable. Yet in easy reach of the Sacred City. The staff were helpful and breakfasts superb."

"Excellent and very helpful staff Thank you to the ladies at the front desk. My front view was a little pond where you will hear a chorus of frog ensemble playing their evening symphonies and in the morning beautiful wading birds warming up for the day. "

"The team at Big Game was amazing! We booked because we really wanted to do a safari and that was amazing but we were blown away be everything else! The food was above and beyond what I expected with 4 courses for dinner, 3 at lunch , and a very full breakfast. They list breakfast as continental but it's much more than that. The first tent we were in was fine but we upgraded part way through and really appreciated the extra space! "
