「Breakfast is good. 」

「Our room had no WiFi reception or cell reception because we were in the basement. The room was nice, the bathroom needed work looks like they just caulked and poorly and the tub didn’t really drain. Toilet could barely flush just paper. Breakfast was nice, staff was nice.」

「Hotel room was very clean although the air conditioning unit was very noisy. I believe hotel is on the older side and might be the reason why unit was so noisy. Staff was very nice and the breakfast offered early at 6 AM is nice as we like to get on the road early. Will stay again.」

「Everything was very good about the property. Excellent bed and shower. It would have been a 5 star property with a few improvements. The breakfast was very bland and overcooked. The workout room didn’t have towels and the staff were smoking near the entrances to the pool. Very disgusting.」

We loved everything, especially the variety and quality of the breakfast. Thank you so much for providing such excellent service and making our stay so enjoyable. 「We had a wonderful stay! The innkeepers were so friendly and helpful. It was fun to learn the history of the house, especially since the were so into the history. Donnie is an excellent chef and made a wonderful breakfast for us. We were only there for one night since we were visiting our son and he only had one day off. We would definitely recommend as a place to stay for one night, or much longer. Charles Town was a cool place to visit and there are several towns around with fun downtown...

「Unfortunately, our room smelled like an ashtray & I'd asked for a non-smoking room. The was no shower curtain, There was hair from the previous people all over the bedspread and shower. The hairdryer did not work. The towels were stained & frayed. There were people that seemed to be junkies arguing during the evening a few rooms away. Not an ideal stay.」

「It was a very unique property that was rustic on the outside and a comfortable cottage on the inside. The owners were concerned for your enjoyment during the stay but not overbearing. Definitely will return here.」

「We enjoyed the schoolhouse very much as the kitchen is well stocked and we were able to cook easy dinners and lunches. The location was great as we visited nearby Harper’s Ferry and Shepardstown’s Bavarian Inn (dinner). The farmland in the area was breathtaking as we enjoyed driving around at night. The schoolhouse was a special experience considering both of us are teachers. Great job on the decor!」
