「Its an old oilfield hotel. Everything has been rode hard. Hotdogs for breakfast was a first. There was a tornado warning issued, when we asked the front desk they offered no directions to a shelter, just laughed and said they happen all the time. When the sirens went off, luckily there was a bank nearby we were able to go to.」

「Other than the indoor balcony (was not aware at the time of booking), this was a great place to stay on vacation.」

However the ice machine was not working on our floor and no one even worked on it while we were there for three nights. The remote on the tv worked only when it wanted to. The staff there were very friendly and busy.」

「Beautiful, historic and grest location in heart of Deadwood. Very quiet room too. The decor with all the movie star collectibles are impressive. We almost stayed in one of those generic Hilton, Doubletree chain hotels with the “faux western” facades on the north end of town. So happy we experienced the real West in this true gen.」

「The room furnishings were a bit threadbare and the breakfast eggs the first day were barely warm (bordering on cold). I opted to purchase breakfast nearby. The room was very short on usable outlets. This was my first stay at a Microtel so maybe that’s expected. Staff was helpful and welcoming, however.」
