「There was little or no noise from the pub. The only noise near my room was other guests arriving and departing. Parking was no problem. Staff were very pleasant and, due to them, I was able to get my head down in good time as I had been up all the previous night. This was followed by a very sound night's sleep. Breakfast was perfectly adequate for me (cereal and toast). The evening meal I had booked was again perfectly satisfactory. For my one night's stay, the experience was fine. 」

「We had lovely hosts! The breakfast was delicious and we could've only wished to have stayed longer! The airline forgot our luggage and our hosts were most kind and helpful while getting things settled for the airline to deliver our bag. The place was warm and inviting, and was well kept! Next door was a pub with delicious food as well and very convenient. We could not recommend this place enough!」

「The room we stayed in at the back of the pub called The Old Barn was amazing. So clean, eco friendly and spacious. We did think the top floor overlooking the lounge area could be utilised better as there was just a massive dining table in there. The staff and dining in the pub was exceptional. 」

「Lovely B&B. Clean, spacious and quiet. Breakfast was really good. Close to Matlock by foot. However, it’s quite on a hill. So not so practical for people with mobility issues. 」

「My wife and I stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of December in the Warren room and it was so comfortable! Ziz was the perfect host, what a lovely place the Sheriff Lodge is, close to town and 5 mins from a lovely nearby pub for an evening meal. The breakfast was amazing with so much choice, the homemade granola topped with fruit was the best! Overall a wonderful place to stay and we will return in the summer. Thank you Ziz once again, kind regards Ian & Christine x」

「Stayed here for 2 night's in June and loved it, the place is warm and welcoming, the bed was massive and comfy with plenty of toiletries in the bathroom. Shower was easy to use and very clean, definitely stay here again. Breakfast was freshly cooked and cooked how you like it, the host was friendly and veey helpful.」

「Lovely property with wonderful hosts. If you want an escape in the countryside with hosts who’ll engage with you, share tips and provide an excellent stay this is the place for you. 」

「I've stayed here 2 years running and found it ideal. Clean, comfortable and stylish. Breakfast is cereal, crackers and milk in the fridge. Theres a pub next door which does full English breakfasts if you book the previous evening. 」

「Only a one-night stay but service was excellent and very accommodating. The room was very clean and had all necessary en-suite facilities including Tea/Coffee making with essential biscuits. Breakfast was included in the price but I was leaving at 5.15 in the morning to catch a balloon flight. The staff provided cereal to take to the bedroom overnight and offered to provide a sandwich if we were unable to arrive back before end of breakfast at 9.30.
