At first glance, the hostel seems great. It’s huge and within an old Victorian style building. The staff is friendly and there’s a bar. However, after a night or two, you realize that sleep is nearly impossible before 2AM. There is loud, very loud music that plays til the bar closes. The climate control is strange. My room was 58 degrees one night, when it was raining and snowing and then almost 80 degrees when the weather was warm outside. The bathrooms are very clean but the rooms need a serious deep cleaning. The floors, baseboards, filthy. And there seems to be lacking maintenance, as my first bunk’s privacy curtain was half off the track. If you want to party and drink, this hostel is perfect. However, if you want quiet at night, look elsewhere.

Sound does tend to travel in our historic building even after the extensive soundproofing we have done and we apologize that it hindered your experience with us. We will get maintanence to fix that curtain right away as well as ensure the room is up to our cleanliness standards and thank you for bringing that to our attention.

A bit loud during night but the vibe is impeccable, they provide earplug also. Don't forget to bring your AirPods. Beers are inexpensive, bathroom is clean, you will have a good time there.

Clean & upscale!
Solo 1-day trip. The hostel was clean, especially in restrooms. Check-in/out was a breeze. I was out mostly, but it looked like a cool place to hang and everyone inside was respectful. Cool decor. Great atmosphere. Great location central of downtown. Plenty of scooters around to use. If I revisit Denver, I would stay again.

I liked the aesthetics of the hostel. Each room had a different theme. A full service bar, friendly & curteous staff. It was located downtown and close to train station. The drawbacks were the stairs, there was an elevator, but did not go to all floors. Other than that, I would recommend this hostel.

Hello Ruby, Our elevator does in fact go to all floors you just need to call the front desk if you need access from the ground level and we will be happy to come down and let you in.

Hello Jaled, We're a bit confused how you could possibly give us a 1 star especially since you stayed with us 7 MORE TIMES after this reservation until we had an incident involving you and you were not allowed to extend. Clearly that is the only reason you decided to give us a poor review. We will report this incident to Expedia so they know about it as well and hopefully they will take down this false and petty driven review. You should be ashamed of yourself but we all know you won't be.

Really appreciated the earlier check in. Staff really ready to help and be flexible. I wish kitchen was bigger and it was warmer in the hostel especially now the weather has really turned cold.

It was awesome! I would have given it a 5 if it wasn’t for the late checkout process. So, 4.5 is actually the score for me. I just felt rushed and my key card deactivated at the original 11 am checkout instead of 1pm. So, I don’t recommend late checkout until necessary. But, it was a great atmosphere. I will come again.

Loved my stay!
Hostel Fish is fabulous. Clean, friendly, comfortable. Centrally located. Very cool. The beds were so comfortable! I could live here!! Parking is not great. Available on street and local lots. Expensive and the night rates turn at 5-6am so you have to wake up to re-up your parking (you can use an app but you still have to wake up) they are very clear about this so my bad. Don’t really need a car if you’re in the city tho anyway.

I liked how I was able to stay in a private room and still have a hostel experience. Access to a full kitchen was a plus. On the downside: the bed was creaky and there were no surfaces to put anything on in the bathroom. Overall, I had an enjoyable stay though.

I had such a blast. Its a lovely environment, close to everything I wanted to do thia trip. I would love to stay again! Chill and kind staff, they were very helpful with any questions I had. Will stay again!
I was in town for a single night for a Rockies game, and Hostel Fish was a great place to stay! I stayed in the Maps room, and it was very comfortable. This was my first time staying in a hostel, and it's safe to say my expectations are high for other Hostels now. Oh! And they have a mystery pack vending machine that is so fun! Seriously, spend the $10 to get a humorous memory of your time there.
