「The room had an outside entrance. You could see daylight through the door cracks. The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, like it was coming in a vent. The person in the room next door played music with bass turned up very loud until late hours and again early in the morning. The carpet had holes in it. The sheets had holes in them.
