Not been at the Hyatt before but we were treated exceptionally at this hotel.
The level of hospitality was beyond expectations and the staff made sure we were treated with great affection. The decor is superb and the rooms were large spacious and airy. Food was excellent and the breakfast buffet was full
Of great choices of Indian and international cuisine. 10 on 10 for hospitality. If ever visiting Dehradun, stay here.

Wonderful for a weekend break
The rooms are spacious and the hotel staff is very service friendly, the Range restaurant has a great selection of food and there is live music in the morning and evenings. The views from the pool are lovely and the rooftop bar is great as well.

Poor service, Poor management
Overall a very poor experience at the hotel.
Guests from nearby rooms making noise past 10 p.m. followed by maintenance work being carried out well past 12 midnight. This occurred on 2 nights of our short 3 night stay. The hotel staff including the General Manager and his Deputy are not aware of what works were happening in the hotel. (attached picture shows work being carried out in nearby rooms)
It took 20 mins to get a beverage after an order was placed at the sky bar (in addition, the bar does not have drinks that are listed on their menu).
When a la carte food was requested to be delivered to the room, we had to chase up why it was not done - an hour after the request.
The ceiling at the Regency club collapsed while having lunch due to water ingress and water was continuously dripping from the roof. It was lucky that we were sitting a table away or serious injury could have occurred.
A lot of lip service is promised by the management but in reality there is no idea of hospitality whatsoever.
It is not a 5 star hotel by any stretch - a 2 star with amenities at best.
Understaffed with the number of guests they have and their pool is best to fit 20 people in a hotel that has over 100 rooms.
Having spent 2000 USD, this is by far the worst hotel experience we have had as a family. The Hyatt brand used to represent some level of service and hospitality but this hotel goes a long way to taint it and is a real shame. Would strongly advise against staying here at all.
