「It is a beautiful villa that will be worthy of many of your photos. But travelers should be aware that the open living space can become uncomfortably cold at Batu's high elevations. In addition, the large number of mosques nearby can shatter any ideas of a peaceful retreat, especially on Friday's when the speakers will be going all day.
One minor note is that it needs a little maintenance to fix wifi (too slow, making streaming difficult), and exposed wiring in kitchen, stuck doors, etc.)...

The location is super convenient, right near the train station and surrounded by everything you need, including a convenience store and a great chicken soup place nearby. The hostel is exceptionally clean. I usually hate walking barefoot, but the staff cleans so frequently that the floors are completely grit-free. They even empty the trash cans in the rooms constantly, making for a very comfortable stay. Plus, the hostel partners with a tour agency, so you can easily book any day trip or tour...
