Shaker Village is such an interesting, beautiful and peaceful place. The history of the buildings and the area appeals to us. It’s a great place to walk and enjoy the surroundings. The rooms are adequate and not at all fancy. The shaker pegs provide plenty of places to hang things. We appreciated the night light in our bathroom. The restaurant had an interesting menu and the quality of the food was good.

We booked this property because of EV charging but they only had it for one kind of EV which we don’t own. They should specify which kind they offer. We were stressed about making it to another town to get charged. The room was very warm with dirty floors and hair in the badly stained shower. I know it’s a historic site but we it was hard to enjoy given the condition of our room. The best part was the staff, they were great.

I arrived in the evening and the lighting on the property was subpar along with the signage. I struggled to find the building in the dark. Also, there are no signs for what rooms are on what floor. Very confusing.

Really loved how accommodating the property and staff were, we were passing through for a shooting competition so didn’t get to fully enjoy all the amenities but the staff went out of their way to provide us with an excellent experience regardless. Also really loved the intentionality with the restaurant. The kids menu was not just some cheap chicken nuggets it was well thought and just as luxurious as the adult’s meal. We will absolutely be returning and planning to spend more time enjoying the village.

A lovely place to stay, very clean, with a variety of activities and things to do on the premises. It was an incredible experience to stay in a room and be part of history. Very clean, with horseback riding, ponds, and other animals to see. The staff was extremely friendly, and the facility was spotless.

The stay was great! The room was in the old Shaker Trustee building that had been converted into a hotel. I had a nice tour of the reconstructed Shaker village, got a brief but informative history of the Shaker movement, and their history at Pleasant Hill, Ky. Enjoyed a great dinner and breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel. It was a memorable experience, not just a stay along the way. Highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking to enjoy the hotel and the history.

The Grounds are beautiful and we had a wonderful breakfast and dinner at Trustees. However, our room in the West House was musty and damp. The staff tried to rectify the problem with new linens and fans to dry out the room. I would research the building you plan to stay in before you go.

Only place I know where you can stay in an early 19 th century village. You can ask for a pet friendly room and walk your dog on farm fields or river trails Food at the Inn matches the local farm land and is delicious
