「A classic hotel with comfortable, spacious rooms. Friendly and competent receptionists. Nice breakfast. Continent breakfast self-served buffet or hot, customised English breakfast That take quite a while. If come by train, need to get a taxi ride of 8-10 minutes. We arrived late in the evening. Have to queue for half an hour at the taxi stop.」

「The room was clean and comfortable. Yea and coffee provided. Plenty of space to get ready. Bed was comfortable. We had been out drinking and was a late night the morning after I asked if we could extend our check out time the request was accepted at no extra cost. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.」

「I’d like to say thank you to the very friendly and helpful staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Our room was upgraded with a view of the racecourse and the room was superb. The highlight was a delicious breakfast for £10 when paying in advance. I’ll certainly stay here again when there isn’t racing! 」

「Absolutely Terrible avoid . 2200 hours a male member of staff entered our room whilst we were in bed , nearly called Police . Lift permantly broken . Room cleaned once in 8 days Had to ask for clean Towels . Shower water only tepid . No remote for TV asked for another , that was broken ,fixed it myself . Dont bother with it .」

「So terrible we walked in and walked out again, drove around to find a different hotel! This hotel gave me the creeps, like something out of a horror movie with an American hostel feel. We arrived late (10 ish pm) and despite the hotel being quite quiet our room was given to us and was one of the last rooms down a long dark corridor at the back of the building. I was travelling alone with my young daughter and couldnt understand why we were put so far away from civilisation. Something felt...

「A lovely place but unfortunately let down by rude staff, bad room placement and broken air conditioning. There was a wedding taken place and the music went on into the night, between this and the broken air conditioning, our young baby was disturbed through the night. We contacted Gary the nightporter who was helpful and explained they knew it was an issue and to raise it with management the following day. We contacted management by email in the end as no one was available the following day. I...

「Fantastic communication from the outset. Easily found and right next door to The Mayflower public house so after a long journey there’s no further travelling to do to get an evening meal. Plenty of parking, very easy check in and an exceptional selection of produce supplied for breakfast next morning. Good heating system, great bed, powerful shower, all in all with all of the other attentions to detail a great stay, very highly recommended.」
