On July 13, my 5:00pm AA flight was canceled and the next flight available was 10pm the following day. So instead of waiting, I was going to rent a car and drive home, but there were no cars available. So I booked the nearest hotel, which was Hyatt and I would worry about it getting home the next morning. I called Hyatt about a shuttle and Anthony ( or Antonio ) was there in less than 5 mins as if I was a VIP. Checking in the lady at the front desk was so sweet and knew I was a little distraught, as it was just me and my 14 yr old. We had nothing but the clothes on our back. She offered the essentials toothbrush, toothpaste, and deodorant. The room was perfect and just what we needed while I figure out what to do next.
So I reserved a car for the following morning and a shuttle ride for 7 AM. I was sitting on the shuttle waiting to go to the car rental and I thought I’ll check AA and see if there are any flights before 10 PM. There was a flight at 8:30am but I couldn’t book it online, I had to do it at the airport. I leaped off the shuttle, ran upstairs woke up my sleeping daughter told her to grab her stuff that we we had to get to the airport ASAP in hopes to get on this flight that leaves in an 1 1/2 hrs. Ran downstairs and the shuttle had already left. Went to the front desk asked when the next shuttle was and explained the situation and then an angel appeared! Mr. Keith Keeter, he said let me go get the other shuttle and I’ll get you there!! He did and we made it home!
