Great Cusco old town hotel

This was a really nice hotel. The rooms were lovely and service was great. Breakfast was also great selecting from a set menu with coffee and juice. For the price I would recommend as it definitely nicer than another that I stayed at. Location was also good, very walkable to restaurants, atms, massage.

I really like this hotel located at 20 ft from the plaza. Breakfast was great with even two dishes to order for free. My room was clean, organize and very spacious. Service was great and very friendly.

Good but not great

I have been to Cusco a few times and wanted to try this hotel out. It was in a pretty good area (10min or so from the main square) and in the historic district of the city. There were all good reviews which I heavily rely on. The lobby and breakfast were beautiful and delicious. The cleanliness of the hallways weren't great and my room was sporadically cleaned in my 5 day stay. There was no option to opt out of room service and the room amenities lacked in comparison to other stays in the same price range. No cups or tea kettle in the room and no access to them in the lobby either. I don't believe that had room service either which was a bummer. There was also a foul sewage smell coming from the bathroom. I had to be diligent to keep the toilet lid and door shut to mask the smalls Small things that could have made the stay much better. Good but not great!

The way this hotel is set up is really strange we opened our curtains and were looking directly into someone else's room so they were kept closed all the time. The walls are extremely thin and you can hear other guests. The breakfast was a la carte and the location is not too far from the main square .

Casa Cristobal Centenario is a great place to stay. It’s about 10 to 20 minutes maximum walk to plaza de armas. Staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast is amazing. If you plan a tour most of the companies pick you up from the hotel, but keep in mind that they tend to drop you off in the central area like plaza de armas. If you use Inka Rail to go to Macchu Picchu you can also walk to the train station. Casa Cristobal was very good, affordable and convenient place to stay in Cusco. I highly recommend it.
