If you're looking for a quiet seaside break in a hotel with a bit of history this is a lovely place to try. The large garden has a clifftop view of the sea and a it's only a short walk down to the beach. It's a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy an afternoon tea or cocktail with friends. If you head away from Cromer, the beaches are sandy and largely empty. The staff were very friendly and an evening meal in the restaurant was relaxed and tasty, The building dates from the early 1900s, but has modern facilities without spoiling the character or history.

Beautiful relaxed hotel suitable for all ages. The room was spotless and spacious. The food was cooked to perfection. Staff were willing to help in anyway. Outside space was well utilised. Patio with umbrellas, seating on the lawn and an open lawn for children or dogs. Dogs are welcome and it was noted that they were all well behaved.

Rooms were clean, staff helpful and, in short, excellent. In house WiFi was weak and intermittent. The rooms looked a little tired but not scruffy. Plenty of parking (except on entertainment night. This wasn't to my taste but was very popular with the larger audience) but there is ample street parking and the road is not busy. Here is an ancient lift which worked faultlessly!

Staff were quite aggressive towards it's paying guests, certainly not customer friendly with the exception of the Breakfast waitress. I didn't really think that the hotel was 4 star, I've been it higher standard 2 star hotels. The breakfast was the best bit about the hotel.
