Croagh Patrick is one of the highest mountain in county Mayo. It is a very famous place of pelerinage, since 300 before J.C. It is named in honor of Saint Patrick, very important character in irish history because he brought christianity in the country. The mountain is not only full of history and meaning, it is also an absolutely beautiful place, and the view on top is stunning.

The summit of Croagh Patrick is worth the scrambling hike up to the top. There, atop Saint Patrick's sacred mountain, you can see a full view of all of the 365 islands in County Mayo in Ireland, if the weather cooperates of course. If you have any sins to confess, there is a church to repent at on top, or go to a service on Reek Sunday.
