It was difficult to know where to go. We had address but not name of the building. The place ended up not being through hotels.com but redawning which I think is related to Expedia but the property was managed by a different company. The check in was pleasant and staff was nice. Got to our room at 10:30pm and there were little flying bugs everywhere around the room; on walls, flying in sheets, all over bathroom. Talked with front desk and they were very nice, tried to help best they could but no other rooms were available. It was 12:30 by the time we figured out nothing else was possible. When looked out window there was a light from the building with tons of those bugs and the window screen was apparently broken but someone had duct taped it. We had to open the window because we were in the 5th floor and there is no ac and it was hot. We ended up closing it and felt with the heat. When we woke I checked the window and now there were tons of flies against it, some now getting in even with the window shut. We packed up and went to front to check out early and cancel our stay for the next 2 nights. Since the reservation was not through them but a 3rd party there was nothing they could do. The manager was super nice and stated she wouldn’t have wanted to stay in a room with bugs either. I then had to figure out how to contact redawning. I did contact them and they said they will confirm things with the manager and then refund the money. It’s been several days and no refund!

An enjoyable stay at the Grand Lodge
Our family enjoyed this hotel stay! The unit was perfect for us and the murphy bed was very comfortable. There wasn't any air conditioner but the night cool air made the room comfortable for sleeping with the window wide open. Definitely recommended!
