「Terrible smell」

「Front desk staff was awesome」

「Breakfast was meh, cold "hot" foods, undercooked oatmeal. Yeah, you read that right, how does one do that? Nice staff, quiet room.」

「When we first arrived we entered through the back through the kitchen because the entrance to the restaurant was closed. It had a terrible smell like meat was being boiled for the next day. Luckily we were the only ones there because being an old hotel that has creaky floorboards other guests would have made a horrible racket walking around. Once we got to our room the loud AC units are through the window to the outside so there is a lot of road noise,car alarms and train noise that comes...

「The front desk and breakfast staff were very kind and helpful. The person who cleaned our room tossed fresh towels on the back of our toilet, left an empty trashcan on a table for us, I guess to empty our own trash, and didn’t replenish our coffee supplies. The front desk was closed from 10p to 6a so I couldn’t request more supplies. It seemed more like an Airbnb situation where you need to clean yourself and try to find your own coffee. Spending over $200 a night was too pricey for that...

The room was comfortable, the amenities were nice, the coffee in the cafe was excellent, and the surrounding area, lake, tram, and nearby town were fantastic! We’ve already decided this will be an annual trip for our family.」
