"Very clean spacious apartment in a quaint town. There was great communication with the owner and after a phone call on arrival we easily obtained key for checking. "We didn’t stay at Le Cheval Blanc as it was closed for holidays, Hotels.com advised of a nearby chambres d’hôtes and we stayed there ‘Au clos de Charny’ which was lovely, our only problem was our room was up two flights of steep stairs. The room was spacious and clean with a large comfortable bed, a very nice shower room with a good shower. The breakfast was superb, a great choice of cheeses and charcuterie, breads, homemade jams, fresh fruit salad and yoghurt. The host is a lovely lady too."

"This property operates as a 2-3 room B&B in a large old manor house between Vezelay and Fontainebleau. We had a very large quiet room in the two flights up attic on the third floor. The bath was modern and the bed comfortable. We pre-arranged for four course dinner which the proprietress cooked and served. The grounds were remarkable, with a small river running through and lots of flowers."

"Very charming and comfortable. The rooms are modern but still hold the historic charm. The private jacuzzi was perfect for a relaxing stay with my husband after a long drive. I highly recommend the Clos des Lys."
