This place was very special. We enjoyed meeting other folks at breakfast, which was always fresh and delicious. Hosts were fantastic. Adorable property with geese and chickens and the loft we stayed in was gorgeous. We had an incredible time.

Had a wonderful time, accommodations were easy to access, the room was great, breakfast was wonderful. The owner, Lauralee, was great, she cooked breakfast while the guests and she chatted. It was an overall great experience and I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

I really liked the location, the cleanliness, the breakfast, and the friendliness of the host. However, I was surprised to find that there was only one shared bathroom for several rooms, which wasn't clear on the listing or I didn’t see it.

The accommodations were immaculate and comfortable. But what is even more memorable are the gardens of vegetables and coops of poultry. Sustainable vegetable patches, with every kind of vegetable. Then, in addition, and most interesting, is the passion with which Mark and Lauralee bring to the place. They love it and are committed to the community and food security. Thank you M&L

We really enjoyed our stay. We were in the Moonlit Loft and it had a huge comfortable bed. The room was perfect. And the shared space on the main floor was great even though we did not use it very much except for breakfast. Madison cooked us up two lovely breakfasts with fiddleheads from nearby and garden vegies and homemade jam. Madison was very friendly and told us lots about the area including Gros Morne. It was a lovely place. And to top it off the birds on the grounds were amazing. They kept my husband busy early in morning and in the evening.

My wife and I had an amazing time at Upper Humber Settlement! The BNB itself is clean and has everything you need and feels very homey! We enjoyed hanging out in the outdoor screened in seating area on the property to enjoy the nice weather outside while avoiding misquitos! We also did the Storytelling Dinner one evening and Lauralee did an amazing job telling a very captivating and heartwarming story that really brings you back in time to what living in Newfoundland and Cormack years ago! And Mark cooked up delicious food for the dinner and breakfasts every morning! Lauralee and Mark have a really special business and deserve all of the kudos for the experience they provide their guests!
