There are nice rooms here. But we didnt get one of them. I read lots of reviews about this place, most of them very positive. However, one I dismissed from a Bulgarian last month was awful. But it was the closest to my experience. However the reader must realise that their are 3 blocks here. Fardini, the pink block. Block A, a completely refurbed block and my block B, a block that had nothing done to it since before the Spartans invaded Crete. So my experiences here refer to Block B upstairs, room 34. Downstairs seemed to have some new doors so maybe an upgrade is on the way. I can only talk about my room and no other, apart from my observations peering into other rooms where I saw luxuries such as air con, flat screen TVs and coffee making facilities. I could only dream. For 4 nights I couldnt sleep. Not because of the noise from the bars of Kavos but because of the springs and lumps in my mattress. My partners mattress was even worse than mine. Both must have been around since before the times of Zeus. I decided to complain about our predicament, and to managements credit 2 brand new mattresses arrived that day. One of the 2 mugs left for us had more cracks in it than the Acropolis. My tea flowed out of it faster than liquid from Achilles heal. How no one had spotted it before I dont Know. They were happy to change it at the bar and give us a decent knife to cut our loaves of bread. The shower didnt work properly and leaked all over the bathroom floor. This was also change

Le camere sono molto carine.. siamo stati bene 1 intera settimana.. l'unica pecca è stata la mancanza di un condizionatore perché con il solo ventilatore si muore di caldo.. per il resto tutto ok

DON'T TRUST THE DESCRIPTION OR THOSE "NICE" PHOTOS

DIRTY ROOMS ONLY SUITABLE FOR INSOMNIACS. DO NOT DRINK OR COOK WITH THE WATER! Despite confirmed booking for double room with double bed, we were given a room, with 2 single beds = BUT when I said & showed we'd booked a double, I was told they "Don't have double beds, none of our rooms do, but you could push them together" =NOT POSSIBLE The photos show *double beds* THE "KITCHENETTE" is just a sink(no plug) with 2 rings built into it! You can't leave things on the drainer as the whole thing gets hot! A small fridge, at a push was adequate. Everything had a odd smell of mould? We moved a table to be able to safely plug in the kettle. "EN-SUITE" was dirty. Next to the toilet broken tiles were coming away from the wall, the shower base was very badly tiled with sealant peeling that actually came off! there was a shower curtain, but unless you like being wrapped in wet mouldy clingfilm, was useless. Something I think was meant to be a shower mat? was DISGUSTING! & stank= only safe option was use a towel on the floor instead. *FREE TOILETRIES= TAKE YOUR OWN YOU WILL NEED THEM. Don't be fooled, 1 tiny soap & 1 small shampoo during the whole 2 weeks! *NON SMOKING ROOMS. We found a dirty ashtray in ours, so if smoking or NOT is a concern, it should be. *"ONLY A FEW METERS FROM THE LIVELY STRIP OF KAVOS" "Only a few meters" If a 30min walk is your idea of a few. #FalseAdvertising #Misrepresentation #BargainBucket #OverHyped #Misleading #NightmareHoliday #HolidayFromHELL

Preisleistungsverhältnis unschlagbar

Das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist unschlagbar. Es ist eine Küche vorhanden mit Geschirr, sodass auch selbst gekocht werden kann. Die Zimmer werden jeden Tag gereinigt und der Service ist gut. Fragen werden sehr gut beantwortet und es werden auf Nachfrage auch schöne Orte vorgeschlagen, die in der Nähe besucht werden können. Die Preise für Getränke und Essen sind okay. Der Pool ist sauber und mit liegen ausgestattet. Auf jeden Fall ehmpfelenswert!

Vriendelijke ontvangst, ligbedden bij het zwembad en nog een paar bij het strand. GEEN airco in het appartement. Zeer eenvoudig, zeer basic, en zeer gedateerd, kan wel een opknapbeurt gebruiken.

Good for the price

Family run hotel. Family very accommodating. Upgrading was in progress e.g. two parasols/shades by the loungers at the pool at beginning of holiday and all fitted by end. Fridge wasn't working and was replaced with a new one on day 3 of 7. Room and bathroom not as clean as I would have liked/expected and no housekeeping for the week I was there. Basic continental breakfast, no choice offered. On plus side no set times for breakfast so no need to rush or get up by a particular time. Sea just behind hotel, lovely and warm. Main strip 10 min walk, fine, apart from having to hold your breath walking past the rubbish piled up on the side of the road. As there was a refuse strike the pile/smell grew worse as the week went by, this marred the holiday as you had to pass the rubbish to get to the main strip. Recommended restaurants 1. Rousso's, 2. The Village and of the cheapies (2 courses for 7 euros) 3. Big Max. Met some lovely people, laughed till I cried and had lots of fun.
