Hotel Le Bayeux

"The hotel was quite charming and the staff was friendly and helpful. While it was nice to have the option for breakfast, the food was ok compared to the delicious alternatives available in nearby boulangeries! PROS: The air-conditioning in the room was AMAZING. They had a mini-split AC unit that kept the room at the required temperature. Also, it was nice to have parking available (for a fee) and the location was very convenient to nearby restaurants and points of interest. CONS: The only room for improvement would be that our shower drain did not drain very well at all. We notified the front desk and while they did seem to fix the issue, the shower drain was clogged again immediately after one use. We were checking out that day so we did not continue to press the issue. Also, the towels were quite threadbare and rough and the bathroom seemed to have a damp, musty odor. (Possibly because it is an old building and we were on the first floor?) Overall, it was not a luxurious stay, but it was perfectly adequate and very convenient for our needs! For the very reasonable price, I would recommend staying here."

"Absolute perfection — a dream come true in Normandy! From the moment we arrived at Château de Sully, it felt like stepping into an absolute fairytale. Calling it a hotel almost doesn’t do it justice; it is a true "dreams come true" experience. The castle itself is breathtaking, and the sprawling, perfectly manicured grounds and English park create a sense of serene tranquility that immediately puts you at ease. Walking through the estate was pure magic. The highlight of our stay, however, was the dining experience at their restaurant. We opted for the tasting menu, and to say it exceeded expectations would be an understatement—it was hands down the best meal we have ever had. Every course was masterfully prepared, exquisitely presented, and packed with extraordinary flavor. What truly elevated our entire stay was the exceptional hospitality of our evening hosts, Thomas and Chris. They provided a level of warmth, attentiveness, and personalized care that created a unforgettable experience unlike anything we’ve ever had before. Their service made us feel so welcome and turned a wonderful evening into a cherished memory. If you are visiting Normandy, do not hesitate to stay and dine here. A heartfelt thank you to Thomas, Chris, and the entire team at Château de Sully for an unforgettable experience!"

"The apartment was fine, a lot of room and 2 toilets. That was nice. A plus to have a balkony. Nice view. Good bed. The sofa was very bad. Really nice with a pool. Nice with possibility to buy fresh bread every morning. Also fine with different food truck."

"Accommodation was perfect for our one night stay over on our way back to Cherbourg. A bit dated in places, walls need a fresh layer of paint and kitchen needs to be refreshed. Beds were comfortable and we had plenty of space. We checked in after 8pm so we used the after hours check in process and it was clear and easy to follow."
