Great place to spend a night,we had a room that had a view of Mont Blanc.Staff were exceptionally friendly and I felt they were genuine and they were pleased that we had booked their hotel, was very impressed with the lady that greeted us on arrival and she showed us our room, she made us feel very welcomed and made us feel that we were very important.
An Unforgettable Combloux Stay!
Our stay at Chalet Alpen Valley in Combloux was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The location alone is hard to beat and perfectly positioned with easy access to the Beauregard ski lift and surrounded by some of the most beautiful alpine scenery imaginable.
The suite was breathtaking, with a stunning view overlooking Mont Blanc that we never got tired of admiring. Waking up to that panorama each morning was truly magical. The suite itself was spotless, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly comfortable, with cozy beds that guaranteed a great night’s sleep after a day in the mountains.
Dining was another highlight of our stay. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent with high-quality ingredients, delicious flavors, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made every meal feel special.
What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the staff. Every single person was kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. They go above and beyond to make sure you have a beautiful, memorable experience, whether you’re relaxing in the spa, enjoying the cinema, or simply coming back from a day on the slopes.
Chalet Alpen Valley is the perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality. We left feeling relaxed, pampered, and already planning our return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a truly special mountain getaway.
I loved the atmosphere the hotel provides to its guests: cosy and welcoming. The view was spectacular, the food delicious and the service of the staff in general was over our expectations. Special thanks for the reception team for a warm welcome, particularly to Heyet. ❤️
What can I say? This property has it all- beautiful views with a full display of Mont Blanc, contemporary design, wonderful food, away from touristy areas, suitable for everyone. Chamonix is a 30-min drive. The staff makes you feel at home. They are always ready to help and can predict your needs. I want to send my special thanks to Hayette and Meryl! Loved the place! Go visit!
Fantastic place to stay for the 6 of us.
It was smart and clean, but also very homely. Great breakfast (cooked and pastry options), super close to ski hire and slopes (few mins walk), sauna and steam were really nice and those who had massages said they were great. Nice afternoon tea/cakes at an extra cost (~12 euros pp).
Views from the rooms and the dining area were unbelievable.
Had everything you could want I think.
I thought the dinner was nice. Some others had more mixed reviews, but I think was good on the whole. We stayed in the hotel for our 3 night stay. Any more nights and we may have gone into town for a change of scene.
The best was the staff. Super friendly, helpful, organised and just great to be around. They really made the trip for us. They sorted ski passes and taxis to/from the airport with no fuss at all.
The hotel is really close to ski schools and nursery slopes, and some of the rooms were well set up for older kids (say 8 years plus). We were an adult only group, but I'm not sure how good the hotel itself would be for young kids in terms of things to do in the hotel. There were a couple of babies around when we were there, so definitely fine for them to be there.
Thanks again to all the staff. We will definitely be back - brilliant stay!
10 day stay at this delightful hotel. Our room with a view of Mont Blanc was very comfortable and had everything required. Restaurant food was excellent - buffet breakfast with a wide choice and our half board option evening meal comprised a selection of 5 or 6 starters, 7 mains and 5 deserts. Quality of food was very high.
The staff were very welcoming!
Very welcoming from the beginning of our stay!
Pauline, who checked us in and helped with inquires over the phone was amazing.
She made our stay very pleasant.
The hotel was very beautiful and very clean.
Everything exceed our expectations, I plan to now make it our annual place to stay for skiing.
Thank you for much!
Arrival in the hotel exceeded my expectations : it is stunningly decorated, and the staff was very helpful and checked us in, gave us a ski locker and a ski pass which allowed us to go straight onto the pistes.
When coming back from skiing in the lovely ski domain of Combloux we were given a beautiful room with an outstanding view on the Mont Blanc.
My disappointment came at dinner time when we were told that the vegetarian option was a plate of vegetables, which the chef named « délice végétarien ». There is a broad misconception that vegetarians can only eat salads and vegetables which I didn’t expect from a venue promoting its restaurant and its chef. Having no decent option, no vegetarian dish with a minimum of protein, and no idea what to do as a vegetarian option is an insult to people who don’t eat fish or meat.
We managed to get a vegetarian pizza and pasta with truffle. This was my birthday dinner and a choice of pizza, pasta or vegetables was clearly not what I had hoped for, and far from exciting. The pizza was very average, probably topped with the vegetables proposed in the « délice végétarien » and the pasta was soaking in pasta water - I doubt it was fresh truffles. We couldn’t finish either.
Without expecting a 4* restaurant, or a restaurant specialised in vegetarian dishes (as the waitress defended le Cellier), I would expect a little more efforts from your chef. If a course in vegetarian cuisine is available, your chef would probably benefit from it.
