The hotel staff was excellent. The day and night desk staff were excellent. Housekeeping was good and the hotel was clean. Ate dinner the first night and sat in the bar. I think my wife got food poisoning as she got violently sick later that evening.Sat in the bar and the service was extremely slow. Room #2 was supposed to have a river view, but couldn’t see it for the trees. The room was pretty, but needs a night light because of the glass walls of the bathroom. A grab bar in the shower part of the wet bathroom would be helpful for safety purposes. Parking was on the street and not real convenient for loading and unloading luggage.

Perfect location. We could Walk the Katy trail to the farmers market and restaurants. The hotel bar was quaint and had wonderful crafted drinks. The dining room and food were fresh and delicious. Our room overlooked the river , but was somewhat noisy due to the cooling system located above us on the roof. Overall this hotel was nostalgic and a delight to stay at.
