Individually decorated room in the style of the artist Miro. It was very well furnished and spotlessly clean. The late check-in arrangement worked very well. We didn’t sample breakfast as we had to leave early to catch a train. We would not hesitate to stay at the Malerwinkel again.

Very good stay at Malerwinkel Hotel

The Malerwinkel Hotel is a charming ensemble of traditional timber framed buildings and a newer guest house - all draped around a leafy courtyard. It oozes charm, character, history and the promise of a very personal hotel guest experience. On that the Malerwinkel fully delivers: all staff are very welcoming and go out of their way yo male guests feel welcome and at home very quickly. The room I stayed in at the Kuemstlerhaus was spacious and decorated as the "Juan Miro" room. Amenities and furnishings are very nice and I had a great view towards the courtyard and the historic city centre. Breakfast service is of high quality and served in the maun house with the option to sit outside: the ambience is picturesque and the service is very personal, friendly a d efficient. Parking is free, and since the hotel sits above the city centre, there is an abundance of shopping & dining options. I even found time to see a movie one evening. Connections to Cologne via public transportation (S1) are close by, fast and easy to use. The A4 highway gets you to Cologne in 20 minutes or do - depending on traffic. The hotel was a great choice - with many small "touches" making my stay special & enjoyable (i.e. free coffee, tea, water, and ice cream!). What really stood out were the staff though: they were fantastic! The only room for improvement are the towels for the shower (larger would be nice), and the curtains (not easy to operate). But this is small stuff and overall I was happy!

ich komme gerne wieder

wunderbares Personal, ganz auf den Gast eingestellt, sehr schönes Zimmer im Fachwerkhaus, tolle Lösung der Zimmeranordnung, mit Klimaanlage, sehr gutes Frühstück, bei dem Wetter diesmal natürlich draußen auf der Terrasse, einziges Manko: Zimmer 3 liegt direkt über der Rezeption / dem Eingang, wenn da spät abends Gäste immer wieder rein- und rauslaufen um sich noch Getränke zu holen, dann knallt jedes Mal die Eingangstüre zu. Gerne beim nächsten Besuch ein anderes Zimmer.

Heel pittoresk en gezellig hotel, vlakbij het centrum van Bensberg. De start was heel aangenaam, met de mededeling dat ik een (gratis) upgrade kreeg. De kamer beschikte over alle comfort. Twee nadelen: gehorig en warm (zelfs bij een buitentemperatuur van 10°). Het ontbijtbuffet is uitgebreid, heel verzorgd en lekker. Er wordt aandacht besteed aan de details en dat maakt een verschil. De service is uitermate vriendelijk. Bij het vertrek volgde nóg een aangename verrassing: ik mocht een zakje vullen met snoep voor onderweg!
