Location was convenient for being in easy walking distance to the Christmas markets and other shops and restaurants, but off the main streets so more peaceful at night.

The hotel was perfectly located for being able to walk to all Christmas markets. There were plenty of shops, restaurants and tourist attractions nearby. The room was modern with all necessities. I will stay here again if I visit Cologne.

Hotel stay

The hotel was basic but clean, and the gentleman who saw us when we arrived was friendly and helpful, we didn’t see anyone after that, and from what I could tell the hotel offered breakfast but had no other services

I absolutely love this hotel! I wish I could have stayed longer, and if/when I go back to Cologne, I’m staying here again. Perfect location in my opinion - you can walk to everything from here. And the staff are so nice - the whole city is full of friendly people.

Excellent hotel and staff

This hotel is now my first choice when in Köln. Easy check in, very warm and clear room with adjustable radiators. Great bathroom. The staff are lovely, friendly and efficient. I will be staying again.

The room was clean and comfortable, basically what you would expect from a ‘no frills’ hotel. Check in was quick and straightforward. The hotel is at the end of Glockenglasse and was very quiet at night. There’s a bar next door serving traditional German food and local beer, which was very pleasant and friendly. All in all it was a very pleasant stay there.

This small hotel is in a quiet, but convenient, area of Cologne. My family of 7 walked to all the sights and restaurants. The rooms are clean and well furnished. I highly recommend the hotel's delicious breakfast. There is no elevator.

Helpful and friendly staff, and the room was simple, no frills, but nice. During our first night, we'd been kept awake by a very creaky bed frame, the following evening I found a couple of loose screws which once I'd tightened them, a blissful nights sleep was had by all! Very convenient location too!

It was a pleasant stay. Located in the center. Everything is within walking distance. The noise is unavoidable due to location but I didnt find it a problem. The heater works at top notch condition. Quickly warms the room.

Hotel Glockengasse has all you need without any frills. It’s very dated, does not have an elevator, but is clean and has easy access to the center of Koln. If you require perks this isn’t your place. If you need a cheap basic clean room then it’s perfect.

We were a bit worried about checking in as we had to call a phone number for instructions. But it was simply accomplished. All communication has been clear and friendly. Really comfy bed, great shower, good breakfast.

Great location. Rooms are clean but a bit small. I did not like the fact that they do not give you a key card and you need to use an actual key to both enter the hotel and your room. Besides that everything else was fine.
