A stay at Lough Bawn house is always good for the soul. It’s a beautifully tranquil place to visit and to relax. Beautiful period house with matching decor and ambiance. Warm and comfortable to stay and read a book while looking out over the lake. Highly recommended.
What a lovely getaway, immersed in silence and surrounded by natural beauty. Every detail in this 205 year old home is absolutely charming. The updated bathroom and comfortable bed enhanced the experience.
What a lovely old elegant and charming house. Verity was a charming and welcoming host who served organise home made breakfast with homemade jams and breads. Stunning views and relaxing athmosphere.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL setting in the lake area of Ireland! We had a restful and lovely stay and highly recommend. Our room was gorgeous and overlooked the lake and sheep! The Irish Breakfast was delicious and featured the hosts own honey. Many thanks for the Irish experience!!
Secluded, bucolic location overlooking a picturesque lake. A Irish breakfast every morning in addition to yogurt and an assortment of fruits grown on property. You will be transported back in time.
Wonderful quiet and peaceful overnight stay overlooking the beautiful lough. Warm hospitality and delicious evening dinner with lovely company. A delightful break, highly recommended.
My husband and I only stayed one night but I can say that The Lough Bawn house is like being in a story book with its idyllic setting. Everything was as perfect as I expected… from our room to the breakfast table! Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a lovely and very quiet place to stay.
We loved our visit to Lough Bawn and the beautiful grounds surrounding. We thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with owner Verity and the breakfast was delicious. We recommend this to anyone considering a peaceful visit in the area. We wish we could have stayed longer.
An excellent accommodation choice in a quiet part of Westmeath. Very comfortable room. Friendly and efficient service. A great breakfast. The highlight is the setting: looking over Lough Bane, with amazing views, especially at sunset. It is the perfect place to spend a couple of relaxing days, hidden away from the world. Recommended.
Lough Bawn House is a charming, early 19th century estate with wonderful, expansive views of the lake and surrounding countryside. Our room was clean, well appointed, and very comfortable; the quiet and serene setting made for a great nights sleep. Plenty of room on the property for a lovely country walk through the gardens and along the crystal clear lake. Verity is a very charming and accommodating host, the breakfast she prepared for us each day was full of delicious locally sourced and home-made items perfectly prepared. Don't miss the opportunity to stay in this wonderful B & B when in the area, you will not be disappointed!
