Great location very quiet loads of walks on your doorstep, accommodation very clean and tidy excellent views , hosts very helpful. Would recommend anyone to stay at this property you will not be disappointed.

Lovely châlet in a very scenic area

Very friendly and accommodating hosts. The châlet was spacious and very comfortable with a private balcony with a great view. Ice cream and eggs available to buy on site, and lots and lots of helpful information about the local area provided.

Lovely accommodation in good location

Well located, clean and comfortable. Perfect for staying with our dog. Owners' property is very close, but they are friendly and welcoming, not overpowering.

Had an enjoyable short break at the Maple Lodge. Hosts were very friendly including the cats and dogs. Lodge was cozy, clean and had all the amenities you need. Bed was comfortable and slept well after all the walking and trekking. WiFi was intermittent and could probably do with a boost but it did not ruin our stay as we were out exploring the surrounding area most of the day. It was a bit too chilly to sit out on the decking in the evening so enjoyed the countryside views form inside. Couple from Oxfordshire.

Perfect Forest of Dean accommodation

Our second stay here and excellent once again especially as the owners kindly accepted a change of plans due to one of our dogs requiring medical care. The house is clean, warm, tidy and well thought out. Parking is plentiful and easy. Access to the forest is literally across the road directly onto a path that has not changed in the 50 years I’ve been walking it. Seeing deer and boar on almost a daily basis was great and the dogs were happy free running without the worry of the bears, lynx and wolves they meet back home.

A quiet place

Located close to the Forest of Dean and next door to woodlands and the river Wye, this is a gem of a hideaway. The accommodation is simple but warm and very functional.

Great overall, appliances disappointing

The views were lovely, the accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The only issue was the appliances. The fridge froze some vegetables and we had to throw them away, and the microwave light was very bright and we had to turn it off at the wall to get any sleep.

Breakfast in bed looking out to the stunning views

Stunning views from the massive comfy bed through big windows Lovely modern kitchen with every convinces and even milk in the fridge ,Symonds yat rock only a 20 minute walk and a local pub recommended for Thursday steak night. New Inn ,Small problem with the boiler quickly rectifyed, wobbly kitchen floor is fine.Comfy sofa with a big TV for the evening .

3 days of total relaxation

Everything about the venue was superb, even better than I had expected. The views were outstanding even from the bed...and there were private places to sit outside to take full advantage of the sun and views. Loads of walks right from the front door and so well placed to visit tons of attractions. I would highly recommend to anyone
