Sands hotel was great! The staff is so kind and helpful! The rooms are modern and have everything you need. The oceanfront rooms with the balcony was incredible- you hear the waves all night from the bed and wake up to amazing views. The beach is great too! Very close to the airport and to club med if you’re doing a day pass or dinner pass. Would definitely stay again!

Quiet with nice views. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Open to transporting me to get breakfast and to get to the airport. Site is remote, with limited dining options without transport, so some planning is needed.

Safiya and the staff are amazing. She picked us up from the airport and had our room and atv ready. The grounds are immaculate with a nice intimate restaurant and small pool. The room we had was super comfortable and steps to the ocean. The staff will give you all of the best beaches and spots to take in.

I love feeling safe while on vacation. I don’t want to stress out about possible dangers. This place was not only stunningly beautiful, it offered me the peace, and tranquility I needed during my stay. No one bothers you, and all the people are very lovely on the island. Definitely recommend this hotel and their lovely chef. The food was delicious and a tad expensive but it was worth it! I’m definitely booking this place again soon!

Truly a full door to door service.The rooms exceeded my expectations re decor and comfort and the beautiful vistas from the ocean view rooms. We were picked up at the airport & although we arrived at 8:30 am seven hours before the check in time, Felisha & her staff provided a continential breakfast & rooms to store our luggage. Felisha and the hotel staff of 4 were superb and catered to the needs of our group of 15. From hot a la carte breakfast to a guided tour of the must see sites on El Salvador. The Sands hotel is a home away from home!

Great hotel. Clean and comfortable. Staff is accommodating. They go out of their way to ensure your needs are met. They took care of the rental car, making reservations at a local restaurant, and picking us up at the airport. Great place to stay right on the water.

The room was ok the door handle and locks was rusty had difficulty trying to open the door to see the Oceanview we paid for . Bathroom window lock one was brok n not able to stay open unless you out something under it. Breakfast was a surprise cold coffee & 4 muffins was on the counter . This hotel has potential and needs a little updating & TLC. I think it's a restaurant should be able to get a light snack like a sandwich, soup or something light.

The Sands more than met our expectations for a relaxing and romantic getaway. The hosts Jai and Alexis went above and beyond to arrange transportation for us, answer our questions and guide us. The accommodations were stunning, comfortable, and immaculate, with a perfect view of the ocean. Located on a private, pristine beach, steps from our room - great for both swimming and snorkeling. The rest of the staff were friendly, helpful and flexible - the dining staff especially made an extra effort to provide us with special meals that were absolutely delicious! They are currently renovating their pool and hot tub area, which looks gorgeous and we can’t wait to come back to enjoy it. The people of San Salvador are welcoming and kind and we left feeling like we were saying goodbye to good friends and family. Highly, highly recommend to anyone looking for some quiet time in paradise!

This place has everything going for it! The room was comfortable and plenty roomy. It overlooked the beach and had a large porch with loungers. The AC and hot water worked great. Likely the best part was the staff! The most extremely accommodating and friendly I have ever met. I will be back in no time.

Cet hôtel est étonnant. En fait, il y a eu un changement de propriétaires, donc oubliez toutes les photos et commentaires précédents. Tous les services sont inexistants: pas de restaurant, ménage assuré tous les trois ou quatre jours, pas de bar, réception presque toujours fermée. Ce n'est plus un hôtel mais une sorte de "pension". En tout cas, très loin d'un 4 étoiles. Les chambres ont été belles, mais se dégradent. La clim fait un bruit d'enfer (modèle des années 70, monobloc, percé à travers une fenêtre) et est inutilisable la nuit. Manque de chance, le ventilateur au-dessus du lit fait lui aussi du bruit et montre des signes de faiblesse... Dangereux, à priori... L'internet dans les chalmbres? Non, sur le balcon, en se penchant bien, pour piquer une réception faiblarde de deux chambres plus loin... Bref, un rapport qualité prix désastreux, malgré le très peu nombreux personnel sympathique et qui découvre le travail en hôtellerie. Dernier point: voiture de location indispensable car il n'y a rien à manger à l'hôtel, l'épicerie la plus proche se trouve à 1;5 Km. On a aussi trouvé un site où il était mentionné la présence d'un night club, de repas à thèmes, etc... Amusant. Il n'y a absolument rien de tout cela. Nous avons été pendant les dix jours de notre séjour souvent les seuls clients. On peut le comprendre.
