Chinaadventures
As of early 2019, you must pass some rough dirt roads to get to Cochamo, no matter which direction you come from. I was expecting slightly better roads, but maybe when some of the construction is finished.

Every and I mean every member of staff was welcoming and happy to have a chat and see how they could make our stay better - from the manager, to the chef, porter, activity co-ordinator, groundsman. Absolutely top notch service.

The staff were incredibly nice and helpful - it's lovely having a person on-site that is knowledgeable and able to book all regional tours on your behalf - the property and rooms have stunning views (and are evidently pretty new) and the hot tubs are a definite bonus. A very rustic accommodation, really enjoyed the fire and being in the forest. A little rough around the edges (marks on sheets, dirty kettle in the kitchen, bathroom in need of an upgrade) but if you value atmosphere and a camping feel worth a stay.
