Across the street from the main road to the beach- several restaurants within walking distance- short drive to other restaurants and shopping. Rooms were big and spacious- friendly staff.

I highly recommend Hotel Manala. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. The breakfast was amazing. The bungalow I stayed in had a quality that made it feel like a home away from home. I will definitely be back.

We stayed in the apartment style cabana. We both loved the accommodations! Very spacious, staff was hospitable and knowledgeable. We had monkeys in the morning playing in the trees. This was walking distance to the beach. Fantastic food next door and throughout!

This is what I would consider an old school typical Costa Rican hotel. Growing up here me and my family went to a lot of hotels like this. Very peaceful and quiet. Friendly staff. Breakfast brought to your room every morning. Conveniently located to food and beach. Enjoy our stay a lot. Nothing luxury but a great place all around. Would definitely recommend it. The rooms are very private

We had a long and amazing stay at Manala. The property is beatiful , to the location is perfect , the staff is fantastic. I could not recommend this place enough and will definitely stay here again.

Nice stay

Hotel was nice for a 2 night stay. Checkin was smooth and the staff was personable and willing to help with anything. Villas were clean and large. Shower had no curtain and was quite large. Very romantic for a couple but not much privacy for me and my brother. Restaurant and pool area was nice and clean and well taken care of. Breakfast was good with 3 options. Overall I had nothing bad to say about ths place. Spent the whole time surfing at the beach across the street with a rented board from the surf shop 5 minutes away.

The property is conveniently located on the Main Street. However, the customer service has room for improvement. For instance, we requested tea and coffee for the breakfast but we were told that only one option was allowed. Also, the breakfast is left outside the room uncovered which leaves subject to animals and insects. Finally we asked for a 110V outlet to plug our electric car, at first the front desk assistant allowed to let us use an outlet inside the reception office later we had to move the car because it was blocking the entrance. At the end, the manager allowed to use an extension cord until they closed the office at 8 pm.

Me encantó el balance de lo natural de la zona con la privacidad, y estructura del lugar. La distribución de las habitaciones, la amplitud y el diseño, lo hace perfecto. La zona de la playa está cerca del hotel. Me encantó que llevarán el desayuno a cada bungalow de forma personalizada, comer afuera con semejante paisaje, lo hizo relajante y mágico.

The place was beautiful and the staff were very friendly. Walking distance to shops/restaurants and across the street from the beach. The bed was terrible. The indentations in the mattress were so deep on both sides you had to sleep in them otherwise you would roll into them or sleep very uncomfortably. They created back pains and as a couple we had to sleep apart/no cuddling for the misses. The other issue we saw were the throw pillows are not washed...I went to use one to sit up straight as watching TV and it was dirty along with what appeared to be a small blood stain on it. Had it not been for these two issues I would have gave 5 stars. Now to be fair, we did not address the issues while there. We had just driven 8 hours and didn't have the energy. Had we, I would like to think they would have helped however they could, but these issues should have been addressed before we got there.

A wonderful night and the best breakfast.

We stayed over at the hotel for one night while waiting for our long-term rental to be ready. The rooms were spacious and we spent a lovely day by the pool and at the nearby beach. We were particularly impressed that the room included 2 beach chairs that we could talk with us to watch the spectacular Santa Teresa sunset that night. We dined at El Facon Grill next door and enjoyed great food and live music, and there's even a great coffee shop (Cafca Cafe) that whips up amazing smoothies, just steps away. The bed was very comfortable and overall it was a great stay. I would not hesitate to return and would happily have stayed longer. In the morning, breakfast was delivered to our patio and it was outstanding... The granola with yoghurt and fruit was particularly tasty and we were so full we skipped lunch that day. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place in Santa Teresa, away from the traffic jams and noise of the downtown core.
