There was long black hair everywhere, the air conditioner didn't work, obviously people smoked in non smoking rooms and the front desk man when we checked in literally put down the phone then hung up when I called to complain. I was so angry I physically didn't know how to respond. We ended up sweating all night and when I went to a different front desk guy in the morning to tell him how uncomfortable and rude the night staff had made us he shrugged and said I'll tell my manager but you've already paid!!! Horrible!!!!!! Will never stay there again and plan on using this review on any hotel site I can to help others avoid this kind of treatment.
This is an affordable hotel. Newly remodeled, so I'm guessing poor reviews were before the remodel. Our room had wood floors instead of a carpet, which is nice.
This was the worst experience I have ever had a hotel! From the surly attitude of the clerk that checked us in, to the cleaning staff making up the beds with my son's pajamas made up in the bed, to finding bed bugs in not one but two rooms, to the surly attitude of the clerk who took my report on the bed bugs!
the phone in the room did not work had no cups for the coffee maker had no cups. And only had decaf coffee. There was mold in the shower. there was also no remote for the TV

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
An ok happy customer
It would have been even better if I my key card had worked. I had to go back to the front desk to get a different card, which I still had trouble getting in my room. The following day I had the say issue where I had to have a member of the maintenance staff to let me in.
Also it would be awesome if your staff would great each customer whenever we walk in. When I came in for breakfast, the staff continued their personal conversation with each other. I had a question but, I figured I would just get my answer later.
The gentleman at night when we checked in was so accommodating and listened about my bad experience with another hotel during my stay and helped me to feel welcomed and confident at the hotel
I was disappointed as we have previously stayed at this Travel Lodge. First of all
place seems to have gone down hill despite the fact that they claim to have obtained all new Serta matresses. Water after a shower went down very slowly. I felt the room
could have been much cleaner. It lacked an ice bucket which we reported upon our arrival. Bathroom towel rack was pulled out of the wall barely hanging by two screws.
Room had one small garbage can which quickly filled. The bed headboard on the bed was broken hanging by one side. I was never able to connect to the Wi-Fi which the hotel told me "works sometimes." In addition when we entered our room the clock radio was also broke. This was replace by the front desk along with getting us an ice bucket but overall the place has declined since our previous stay last year. The were not able to find my rewards number to credit us for our nights stay.

Disliked: Room comfort
Okay Hotel
The room was clean beds were good, however the room had a terrible smell, we thought it was the air conditioning unit, we bought something to add to the vent but that didn't help. Too tired to get a different room, would check the room first next time.
Not good. No hot water for shower
Room had bad odor.

Inexpensive Functional Place to Sleep
Reserved on line and room was available for late arrival. Nothing fancy but what was needed for sleeping/shower etc. WIFI worked well. Had first level room with parking just outside the door. Front desk was fine. Simple continental breakfast.
Well, we check in to the hotel do the bed big check, like I do at all hotels. This one passed (only good thing I can say.) So my wife and I go out on the town. We get back about 2:30am, i pull the covers back and there's hair, crumbs on the bed. Then my wife grabs one of the pillows and there was black mold on the bottom side of it. We packed our bags up and headed to the front desk. They offered us another room, well the other room smelt like death and the bed was just as bad as the other. Need less to say we checked out and ended up sleeping in our truck. This is an unsafe hotel, I was talking to a few locals that said the hotel is a local " lady of the night" hang out. That explains all the girls outside the hotel rooms.
Our family was on a road trip. We used Orbitz as we often do to help us find the best deal. We selected the Travel Lodge because it was near where we wanted to stop for the night, and we felt confident in our choice as it was listed as a Wyndham Family hotel. We'd had good experiences with Wyndham in the past. This hotel was awful. First the outside door was not closed. It was open & didn't have a lock at all, meaning anyone could walk into the hallways. This isn't safe. Then the hallways were smelly, like smoke & even like a skunk at one part of the hall, also urine. We arrived late & tried to give it a go thinking it was only for 1 night. The hotel was outdated in decor everywhere, the bed was uncomfortable, and the bedding looked old. The a/c didn't work. It just recirculation warm air. The room was hotter than it was outside. As we lay in the beds we began to itch & that was the last straw. We complained to management. They offered a different room, but each room was just as bad. While walking outside we noticed several rooms with lights on in the middle of the night. People were popping their heads out as if looking for someone and then going back in. This seemed odd and suspicious. We decided to pack up our family of 5 and leave in the middle of the night to find a place. The night crew said they would give us a refund, which we appreciated, but the manager who came the next morning refused. Just all-around a bad experience. The worst we've ever had on any vacation.

OK for a night
Adequate for an overnight stay while on the road. Not very attractive rooms, but OK.
Other people's hair in the bed and on the sink. Somebody's used washcloth was still draped over the shower rod. Morning breakfast was cereal and bagels (no cream chhese). Police activity...appeared they were looking for somebody in the motel. The only good is Bob Evans restaurant is literally a rocks throw away from the hotel.
