The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was quite spacious. I was worried that the road noise would disturb our sleep but it was very quiet and we drifted off without issue. This was a very enjoyable stay.

Needs remodeled

Sign said remodeling but i didn’t see any work being done. Walls were dirty, couch was sunken, tvs did not work, spider in bed, hole in carpet, broken floor tiles. Wouldn't stay again for the price.

The carpet is dirty and torn. The floor underneath is lumpy. The floor tiles inbthe kitchen and especially the bathroom are cracked and loose. The couch is dirty, sagging and old. The elevator is small, and old, and you can feel it slipping. That was really concerning. Broken glass window at the pool. They put $50 on my card for incidentals, I'm heading down there for a credit.

This property is very worn out and not clean. The pool has paint worn off in several places and looked dirty and murky. The hot tub was even worse. The carpet is stained and worn. The staff were all nice and helpful but unfortunately, this property is in terrible shape and needs immediate renovations and thorough cleaning.

The staff was really friendly and the beds were comfortable. The hotel definitely needed an update. The walls in our room were stained and/or scuffed. It smelled liked mildew and we noticed the lamps and bathroom fixtures were rusting. The tile in the bathroom was loose and didn’t have grout. The floors were uneven. It was right next to the highway and was really noisy. The area wasn’t in very good shape either.

This property is in dire need of a face lift. Mattresses replaced, furniture and carpet deep cleaned, and rooms stoxked properly with amenties that are supposed to be offered. An exterminator would be great for the ants, bugs, and spiders (webs and eggs included). Pool area needs TLC. Breakfast offered could use a little help as well. Most of the staff was super friendly though! The night auditor went above and beyond for us for sure! This is definitely not what I would expect from a Holiday Inn establishment.

Meh - not a great stay, not horrible.

This property is tired and a little worn out. I didn't bother to shower as the shower was moldy and not overly clean. The sofa in my room was stained and very dirty. The bed was comfortable enough for an overnight stay. Three of my room keys didn't work so I had to keep lugging my bags up and down the elevator until I received a room keycard that worked. There are so many disposable items: paper cups, plastic cups, paper products - not very eco-friendly.

Check in was quick and easy-staff was kind. Room was on the first floor and was EXTREMELY filthy. Tub had dirt in it, bathroom floor was littered with dead bugs and grimy dirt. Floor in room was dirty as well. Walls in room and bathroom were just filthy. Let office know and they moved us to a king suite. The room was better, but still not great. The elevator has loose tiles and is musty. The hotel is just old and in need of a lot of updating.

So many things gone wrong but here are a few, I had 5 rooms reserved since 6 weeks ago. Got there and only 3 were available. They overbooked and tried saying there was a leak in a room but told everyone the same story when there was no leak. Rooms were disgusting, toilet was still dirty and was given a brush to clean myself since housecleaning had left already. No spray until I asked again. Housekeeping went once (we were there 4 days) talked to some guy twice told him to please clean our room and at least give us clean towels he seemed confused and said ok, still didn’t clean rooms nor give us towels or throw trashes out. There was a large spider in one of our suites and small bugs in our room. Comforter smelled funky, carpets absolutely disgusting that my daughter was not allowed to play on the floor

Im staying at different Holiday Inn Express from Houston to DFW. The room in Alvarado smelled musty and moldy. The toilet had water stained and appeared uncleaned, the carpet felt sticky and wet, the walls had stains, the water temperature got “warm” not hot, elevator was gross. This was a terrible hotel. None of the other Holiday Inn trips were like this one. I arrived around 9:30pm exhausted so slept in my clothes, woke up, brushed teeth and left the room around 6:30am. I did decide to get a cup of coffee when leaving and it was hot. None of the breakfast was out which doesn’t go out until 7am, but a half tray of cinnamon rolls were sitting under a cold lamp from what I assume the previous day. If you can choose, do not choose this hotel.
