"Nice hotel, clean room and they gave us an upgrade to a really nice full suite! AC, pool and gym were great to have. It's not walking distance to restaurants by any means, but the Bus to the city centers are very close and come often."
"Close to the main station, the metro and other public transport, and walkable to the main tourism locations. Lovely well-conserved late 19th century building. I had a spacious high-ceilinged room in traditional style with a mosaic patterned floor. The hotel lift is a wonderful piece of century-old engineering, which works most of the time - and will probably be fine by the time you read this."
"Having read some of the earlier poor reviews, I was a little nervous. But I needn’t have been because this is a lovely clean and well run hotel in a great position.
What surprised me most was the quality of the restaurant and especially towards the end of the week when lobster appeared on the menu.
The bed in our room was large and comfortable with a good shower and air con.
The pool is very large, clean and with plenty of singers with some underneath the cool shade of the pines.
A definite ‘recommended’ from us!"
"The hotel itself was brilliant. The staff were so helpful before and during my stay. The room was clean, very spacious and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was a cold buffet of cake, pastries etc and set me up for the day.
The hotel very helpfully warned me that it is not in the tourist part of Genoa, and I would not advise walking around this particular area and the area is noisy but the hotel provide earplugs. However, this is not the hotel’s fault and I got taxis to the hotel and then into Genoa and it was fine.
I would stay here again. "
