「We had an excellent experience in this hotel. It was the first time we visited this hotel. Located a bit away from the city centre, the hotel's deco, ambience and service were comparable to a 5-star hotel. We were particularly impressed by the service of Ali, proactive, considerate and detailed to meet our needs, even the unspoken. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel and found them enjoyable. 」

「I chose the Kings Arms for location and the olde worlde look of the rooms on their website. The location was perfect for our trip, however the hotel was not! Check in is at the bar - all ok. We were told no food being served on Friday night despite the website showing a bar b que style restaurant (the hotel info in the room said pizza but there was neither) They offered recommendations but we found our own. Also told no breakfast available, same story, we found our own. We were walked outside to...

「Richard was an amazing host and was very welcoming. I would stay again! The view was amazing from our bedroom and bathroom, and breakfast was delicious. Richard really made us feel arlt home.」

「Very well located and easy access to the property. We asked to change rooms as we had to have the window open due to hot weather on the busy road and we were immediately offered a room at the back. Continental breakfast was a nice touch. Would definitely recommended a stay here.」

「The drain in the bath room was clogged, so the water wouldn’t go down. There was no door for the bath room and toiler and the bed was only 70mm wide. But the hotel is very close to train station and the staffs are kind.」

Bathroom OK but would benefit from some shelves to put toiletries on etc. Breakfasts were very good with a wide choice. Dining in was v good but we felt overpriced. The whole experience was good but felt at £180 it represnted poor value.」

We really enjoyed the breakfast, thank you Chef. Overall the Linden Tree is a good, basic stopover, especially if staying overnight after watching the Cherry and Whites.」
