Probably the town being in lockdown ahead of a visit by the King and Queen didn't help. It's a high tech hotel modern hotel built into an old building. Electric everything in the bedroom butnhadbto stumble through the dark to turn on lights because no switch by door, My wife complained about poor lighting around the mirror for doing makeup."

"No hand rail as such but rope rail on stairs. Stairs even but if you struggle with balance a bit of a problem. Breakfast extremely good.. homemade apricot and strawberry jam no too sweet. Apricot jam was outstanding. Continental breakfast well with the money."

"When we go to the property in the morning, the reception was not open, even though according to the hotel details it should have been. I called the hotel number and I think the lady was telling me that she had to visit the doctor and will be at the hotel soon. We went for a breakfast in the town centre and sure enough she was back and let us check-in early."
