"there was a lot of trash outside and there was only one person doing check ins/outs but i was treated respectfully. a lot of their food/drink dining are closed sundays! I didn’t know that. It was a good stay!"

"I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels and resorts for both business and pleasure and this hotel was understaffed. They did not respond to the request for extra linens I made multiple request. I made the request prior to arrival. I made their request upon arrival once I got to the room and there was no additional linens present. I did try to call down to the front desk to no avail called six times no answer. The continental breakfast was subpar with a 4 year old checking for and accepting payment at the door and my biggest complaint would be in the room. It looked like blood stains on the floor, and there was definitely blood smears on the wall, which was quite disturbing and disgusting. The only positive thing I can say about the room was the bed was comfortable. The sheets smelled clean and the pillows seemed fresh. Other than that it was highly disappointing and quite disturbing."

"DON’T get ROOM #102 Arrived Saturday April 18 for a stay after a party. Upon late arrival, the sink faucet handle was broken. Left and came back to sleep at 1.30am to be woken up around 6am due to intense noise on adjacent room. Called front desk at 7am to be told I was next to the kitchen, ‘how would I know that’? But was told was to communicate with him (at the kitchen) to be quiet. On Sunday around 10am talked to Ali at front desk expressing my frustration due to constant loud noise as this room didn’t meet decibel requirements for a place to sleep (it was louder than a vacuum cleaner running). She stated it was going to run it by manager to see what could be done. After, she generously offered a full refund but hasn’t happened yet. I Thought that was a very generous offer, but now I feel fooled as not refund has been given."

"Anytime the AC went on, it smelled like urine. It’s loud. Breakfast is not good. Stale mini pastries and old yogurt parfaits - not great. For $300 a night, it’s not worth it. Annoyed there weren’t other options as I needed a place to stay near the hospital."

"According to their website, Turkey Hill Inn has been family-owned for over 85 years and is now being managed by the third generation. If, like me, you are a fan of old, quaint homes, you will love this place. It is oozing with charm. The inn is located in the upper scale community of Summit, New Jersey, which is just a train ride from the cities of Newark and New York. As for the inn, I stayed in their first floor deluxe suite, which included a bedroom with king size bed, bath, and living room area complete with a microwave and refrigerator. I found the rooms to be quaint and very inviting and while I only stayed one night, it was quite comfortable. Now, given its age, you need to go into knowing this place will not have quite the same modern conveniences as a hotel. They do not offer any continental breakfast like some others do, but there is a plethora of fine restaurants and casual eateries within walking distance. The innkeeper on duty is very nice and very helpful is also usually just a phone call away if case you need assistance during your stay. If you are looking for a charming and pleasant place to relax, you will love this inn. It is a very restful place to stay. Highly recommended! "
