"The Taylor Texan is a great place to stay! I was a little disappointed in the food at the Cantina restaurant and the limited choices at the Marketplace. But, it was still a comfortable, clean and fun place to stay. "

"If I could give them a 0, I would. It’s obvious that they are under new management. This used to be a nice clean reasonably comfortable hotel. The room was clean. But there seemed to be an issue with the AC and the halls and rooms were very humid. Had to ask for creamer for coffee two days in a row. None on coffee bar at any time. The part that gets them a 0 stars is after one night there, we left to go to a better hotel. And, they still tried to charge us for the week’s stay that we had originally booked. Even though, we personally went down to check out, the clerk could not assure us that we would only be charged for the one night. He kept saying he had to ask the manager if it could be refunded. This seemed fishy to us, so we contacted the credit card co to let them know we had left and not to approve any other charges. They tried to run it thru anyway about 4 days later after our initial stay woukd have ended. "

"Room was clean but the sink and shower drains smelled of sewage backup. The evening front desk guy is unprofessional and rude to say the least, and being a 3rd party owned hotel, shortcuts are made. 1 example is finding the one “master” light switch that turns everything on in the room. So we showered and whatnot by our phone lights. When we complained the next morning we were finally told about the “master switch”. When asked why we were not informed, it was oops, you should’ve figured it out. Won’t stay here, nor recommend. It seems all the “Spark” hotels are now Indian run with shortcuts. "
