「The property was clean, smelled lovely, nicely decorated. The room was spacious, bathroom was nice and big. Good shower. Coffee and tea facilities with easy instructions. Easy access to local shops, cafes, bars and restaurants and local walks. Breakfast was great! I would definitely recommend staying here. 」

「We were there for one night only and wish we were there longer. It was truly an exceptional experience! The service, the food, the room, the setting etc. of the hotel was just absolutely impeccable. 「Having been to a golden wedding celebration at Downton Old lodge, we needed a place for an overnight stay. The Loin was perfect. Lovely old beams, comfortable room with super bathroom, good food and pleasant staff. My choice gave me a lot of brownie points from my wife!」

「Lovely staff and a great room and shower, loads of room. A kitchen available should you want to self- cater. such a reasonable price and I would highly recommend it! 10/10」

「I have eaten in Michelin starred restaurants but this was as good as these. Room was impeccable and staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Every possible detail had been considered, from the umbrella hanging outside the room, to the pre dinner nibbles.」
