Trotzdem hat uns Matteo nicht am Flughafen sitzen lassen und wir haben uns am Ende doch gefunden. Ein Supermarkt (Deco) und ein tolles Restaurant (I Cumpari) sind direkt um die Ecke. 「We stayed here the night before our trip up Mt Etna. It was an ideal location for an early start, 20-25mins from the cable car station. We arrived early the day before but were allowed to check into our room and had the entire place to ourselves so spent the afternoon sat by the pool. 「Grand old villa, with grand furniture. Close to Mt Etna cable car, very convenient. Our chef prepared fresh ravioli, and rissoto, plus delicious mains for our meal at night. Followed up with fresh prepared sicilian breakfast in the morning. We got lost due to google maps, and staff came to find us, which was appreciated. Room was comfy and huge, a very enjoyable night.」

「It was an excellent stay in a lovely villa located on the outskirts of Catania, in a room with a private bathroom. It is a gated property with an easy parking and we even got our own gate opener. It’s a historic property run by a lovely duo of the mother and daughter, eager to share their suggestions on local restaurants and places to see. If you want to stay closer to Etna and avoid the traffic and parking hassle in Catania, this is a place to stay. 」
