"Almost everything was perfect. Great location with fantastic views, bed big and comfortable, overal the room was fantastic. Food was very good for a buffet with a huge choice that changed daily. Drinks are a reasonable price but limited beer choice, especially if you’re a bit fussy in that area. Only real negatives and to be aware of is very limited parking in the vicinity or at the hotel, nothing available when we arrived late at night and had to use a pay for car park 10 mins walk away, the hotel charges €20 per day and spaces are limited. Also the food at the pool bar was very mediocre. Overal fantastic quiet relaxing hotel with the best views in Tenerife. Highly recommend. "

"I almost didn’t want to leave a review because part of me would love to keep this place a secret so we can come back and book it again ourselves… but Maria truly deserves the very best review. Casa Amarillo in Garachico is an absolutely magical place to stay. The house sits in the middle of a working banana plantation, which makes the whole experience feel incredibly peaceful and authentic. Waking up surrounded by banana trees and beautiful scenery is something really special, and the historic colonial house itself is stunning – full of charm, history and beautiful details. Our host, Maria, was wonderful. She made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Her breakfasts were absolutely delicious – beautifully prepared, generous and a little bit fancy, turning every morning into a lovely experience rather than just a meal. What we loved most is how different this part of Tenerife feels compared with the busy, commercial south of the island. Garachico is calm, historic and full of character. Staying here feels like discovering the real Tenerife, far away from the typical tourist resorts. Everything about our stay felt peaceful, elegant and truly special. Casa Amarillo is a real gem, and Maria is a fantastic host. We would return in a heartbeat."

"The hotel is extremely pleasant. Very colonial and comfortable. Nice and warm room. Our only problem was that we had a downstairs room and they all had lights over the door which stayed on all night. I tried to wedge the blind at the edges but it still let in a lot of light. The fridge was extremely noisy and we turned it off at night. The hairdryer only blew cold. The breakfast was just ok. 3 nights was too many for the town as there's not very much to do in the day. You can walk round the entire village in 1 hour. "

"This is a great location for Masca (take the bus!), Los Gigantes and Teide national park by car. The hotel is a very attractive building with good parking in nice setting. The staff are friendly and the restaurant is good. Our room was clean and spacious but could perhaps do with a refresh. The ability to get a beer before 6.30pm would be good!"

"There is no central heating in this place; A gas heater and a fireplace are available. The staff offered to start the heater, which we accepted, and a box of wood was provided for self-servicing the fireplace. The gas heater turned off after 10 minutes cause the gas tank was almost empty. On the other hand, I gave up on the fireplace after 90 minutes of successive failing attempts because the wood was extremely wet. The manager was absent and so was the owner. The three employees who were on duty went over their way and beyond their responsibilities to try to resolve the problems, and they successfully did. When I called the owner the day after to let him know that his business was being poorly managed all that he did was to call one of the employees of the previous night to reprimand her. This place has an enormous potential if it was managed properly. However, the absence of proper management turned my stay into a nightmare. "

"We had a wonderful stay at Isla Baja Suites. Laura, the owner, was incredibly warm and helpful, and the service throughout was excellent. Our suite was spacious, comfortable, and had beautiful views. Breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning. The location is perfect — right in the heart of Garachico, with lovely cafés, scenic walks, and the amazing "El Caletón" steps away. A fantastic place for families and love birds. Highly recommended."
