Very nicely decorated room with comfy bed. The Refuge Inn is very close to the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge and was a great home base for our beach day. Complimentary breakfast is delivered to your door in the morning. My only (small) critique of our stay is the breakfast options were not great and the breakfast sandwich was not that good. However, it was very convenient to have breakfast delivered and not have to waste time finding a restaurant before starting our activities. I highly recommend the Refuge Inn - we will stay here again next year for our annual beach day. The hotel is also close to AJ's on the Creek which is a good restaurant for dinner.

Our room was clean, comfortable and had a beautiful view of the garden. Breakfast was delivered to the room daily. Great location, ponies on the property, bike rentals the park and beach close by. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Loved the vibe at this hotel. It's clean, the beds were super comfortable and the pool/hot tub was a great activity to do in the evening. The horses on the property really add to the experience. Its proximity to the trail to Chincoteague Beach/Refuge with bike and beach rentals on the premises made it so easy for us to get out and explore the area. We'll definitely be back!

Comfortable bed, breakfast was good, friendly and helpful staff, great gift shop in the lobby, and the complimentary coffee was delicious. Ice machine was convenient to our room. Thankfully a younger guest offered to carry my suitcase up the stairs. I was a little nervous about that but it all worked out. Guests respected the quiet hours. Delicious complimentary sweets at the check in desk were an unexpected treat too! We also loved the closeness of the motel to the entrance to the refuge. All in all, we’re so glad we chose to stay at the Refuge Inn.

The Refuge Inn is well located if you are going to spend time at the National Seashore. The rooms are comfortable, nothing fancy but clean and well maintained. The breakfast included with the room wasn’t the most delicious but it was edible.
