"I have been visiting El Salvador since 2021 after many years of not being able to visit. I have always stayed at Barcelo and never had an issues. Not sure if the owner has changed but the service was terrible this time around. For a super expensive stay, the staff was rude, the amenities were not like they use to be, the food was horrible which made us sick. What’s the point of having breakfast includes with my VIP status if it tastes horrible and makes you sick. The staff is usually friendly and accommodating but they were rude and disrespectful. Again but sure what has changed since August 2025 but the service definitely is not the same."
