While we were unloading luggage from our car, she found and pointed out a parking spot for us, right next to the hotel, which saved us hassles of driving to a paid parking lot. The breakfast was delicious and wonderful. Our stay in Agrigento was brief but La Nuova Girgenti made it special. We will be back.」

Room is full of light with windows on both sides of the room. There was a large veranda to relax with a glass of wine. The management is very friendly and helpful. 「This is a nice modern unit with a small patio and great view of the sea. The set up gives a shared kitchen for 3 rooms where simple breakfast supplies are provided, with full time access to tea/coffee making. It’s a steep hike up a lot of steps to get there, which might be an issue for some. The automated entry required us to telephone to get in, and the guy wasn’t too friendly. Why not just send the codes? There were reception staff in the daytime who were lovely. 」

「Very likable little place. More homey than a hotel. Gracious host. Generous breakfast. There are some convenient and tasty food options nearby. Its a bit of a walk to get up or down the hill to the town or the ruins in the heat of day. Street parking was free and fairly attainable. Do be prepared for the small cash city tax at checkout. 4€ per night. Why can this not be included at booking time? Bring an Italian (type c) vs continental europe power adapter. (Type f)」
