There is no non-smoking sign. My friend came over and smoked one cigerette. Afterwards, I slept and the server came to clean the room while I was asleep. :-( When I checked out, I wasn't told of the smoke fine. I only found out after looking at the credit card transactions. Very scamming and creepy services.

There is no sign saying non-smoke. My friend visited and smoked one. Afterwards, I was asleep in the room and a server cleaned the room without my awareness. I checked out and never told I was charged 250 dollars for smoking cost until I see the credit card statement. Very scamming and dirty practices. Be aware!!!

Even when construction is going on, Rhey shoulder at least keep up the cleanliness on the area. Staff are very unproffesional. A male staff attended us when we checked in. He did’nt even mentioned about deposit, the time breakfast open and close, where to park and not even a welcome greetings. The room was terrible. No desk, no chair, no night table in between beds. The bathroom smells urine. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in Chicago. I rate this hotel terrible.

DO NOT STAY HERE – Worst Hotel Experience Ever This hotel should not be open to guests. The entire property is under renovation, making it completely uninhabitable. Our room reeked of fresh paint — the smell was overwhelming and made it hard to breathe. There was no desk, chair, trash bin, or even a hairdryer. It felt like we were placed in an unfinished storage room, not a hotel room. Construction materials were scattered throughout the hallways, and to make matters worse, loud renovation work started at 8 AM. When I brought up the issues to the front desk, the staff was dismissive. At check out the receptionist even said, “They didn’t tell you we’re under renovation at check-in?” — as if that somehow made it acceptable. Nothing about the renovation was disclosed during booking, and the photos online looked nothing like the current condition of the property. It was extremely misleading. This hotel should have been closed until renovations were complete. Management clearly doesn’t care about guest experience or safety. Avoid at all costs.

Seems that the property was going through some renovations. The hotel seemed run down. My flight arrived late in the evening, I planned on taking the complimentary shuttle bus, but was unaware that I was supposed to schedule a pickup. That was not stated during booking. When I arrived at the hotel , I needed a shower before bed and there was no soap, not even a hand soap, asked the front desk and there was none to be found. It’s a budget hotel and it showed .

If your property isn't in proper condition for a traveler to enjoy their stay then close the doors until you're ready. My reviews are usually quite pleasant but the only nice thing about this stay was the front desk clerk borrowed me a lighter.
No outlet available for this nice new lamp.... Don't rent rooms that are not ready!
What floor am I on? If this stay wasn't already paid for I would have walked right out.

We were not given notice before our stay that the hotel was under renovations and that some of the amenities promised would be missing due to it. There was 1 power strip in the room that the tv and phone were plugged into, leaving only a couple plugs on the strip open for our personal use. The only other accessible plug was by the sink. The plug behind the bed was an open socket and the wires for the clock and lamp on the bedside table were bent. It looked like a fire hazard. This was all just upon first look around the room the night we checked in. The following morning when I went to leave the room, I shut the door leading into the room from the hallway and went to make sure it had latched. It did not. There was a wad of tape stuck in the door latch. I'm assuming this was from the fresh paint during the renovation. From that point forward, I just did not feel safe at all, so I checked out a day early. The hotel staff was super nice though. I wish I had let them know about the issues experienced before I left but like i said i just felt very unsafe afterwards.
