Happily a repeat customer again and again!

I have been traveling to Mahahual for solo fishing adventures every year for at least the last 8 years, and I have always stayed at the Cabanas Del Doctor, and I always will! I don't need anything fancy, but for the very reasonable price of a room or cabana here you won't find anything even close to as good. Also, the woman who runs the hotel/cabanas is wonderful, I look forward to seeing her every year. Hope to be back again soon, thank you for everything once again!

Other than the bed being a bit firm, my stay was quite comfortable. The room was clean. the AC was cold. And the shower was hot. The hotel has a beachfront area with a pier directly across the street which is a continuation of the malecon. There are numerous restaurants and beach clubs a fairly short walk away.

Nice & basic place to stay

Adequate room, very sparse. Had to ask the owner/manager how to open the front window as it had a huge & dangerous crack down it. We wanted the sea breeze to flow through the window front window, especially as it had mosquito netting. Amazing view of the sea from front window. Good air conditioning. Quiet at night. Owner/manager came across as annoyed and irritated by our arrival, thankfully this changed during our stay. Mahahual was very busy but it was the Easter holiday. The beaches are covered in rubbish, plastic everywhere including in the sea. Everyday we watched people clear away the masses of seaweed on the beach, presumably as it's unsightly for the tourists, these same people simply ignored the rubbish/plastic. Lots of loud music blairing from cars & bars so beware where you stay.

My wife and I stayed here for a week. We really liked Anna, the manager, but otherwise our stay was terrible. Every night there was a strange man lying in the hammock for our cabana which was about 10 feet from the front door. He would never say hi and he would constantly smoke, which would go through the windows and into our cabana. My wife is allergic to cigarette smoke so this was very frustrating. It would have been nice to actually use the hammock that was there for us. Also, if you want a good night rest DO NOT stay here! It was so loud. There was a dog that belonged to one of the staff members, and it would bark all night long. Not only that, there was a rooster chicken that would crow all night long. We got very little sleep the entire time we were here. There are also a lot of bugs in the cabana-mosquitoes, gnats, and cockroaches. The bugs didn’t bother us near as much as the creepy man out front and the extremely loud noises at night.

The room was as basic but clean and felt safe. It was expected. Bedding and towels were provided but I was surprised to find a wash cloth was not. I like to cleanse my face in the evening. I also accidently locked my self out of my room the evening prior to my departure and was surprised to find they had no spare key. The staff did gain entry but had to move me to another room for my last night. In that room the sink leaked from underneath and there were visible cobwebs. I do not think they planned to have someone in the room but it was not ready for occupancy.

Una de las dos camas no tenía sabana, les escribimos (ya no había nadie en recepción). Nos dijeron que la llevarían, nos dieron las 11 pm y no llegaban. Volvimos a escribir y nos dejaron en visto, mala noche -fue la única que nos quedamos al otro día debíamos salir a las 7 am y el descanso que buscamos en este lugar, no se dio-.

Grand chambre propre. Petite plage sympa, nettoyée chaque jour, en face du centre : juste à traverser la route. La baignade pas terrible car eau boueuse au bord.

Buen lugar para hospedarse si son pocos días, lo único "malo" es que no cuenta con algo para entretenerse (como lo es un televisor) y demasiados problemas con el tema de la conexión a internet. De ahí en fuera es buen hotel, aunque tiene demasiadas hormigas.

El apartamento es muy básico, podrían mejorarlo mucho ya que las vistas son buenas. Pero no está en buen estado, hay hormigas dentro de la habitación. Por un poco más al día, encuentras alojamiento de mucha más calidad.

Alojamiento agradable.

Es fácil de llegar, el lugar está ordenadpo y limpio. Los empleados muy atentos. El lugar no tiene restaurante pero cerca hay muchas cosas. Si van con adultos mayores o niños, recomiendo que se queden en planata baja porque la escalera tiene un poco chueco algunos escalones. Tomen en cuenta en verano, solo hay ventiladores, no aire acondicionado.
