Property was beautiful , right on the lake. If the property to the left by Amura could have more respectful visitors for noise I would give it a solid 5* but as mentioned partying till 4 am is not appreciated. Waterports could be improved. Sup paddle was riveted incorrectly (asked for a different paddle and given one without a top - incredibly unsafe) and watched someone essentially sink themselves due to maintenance of sups. Dangerous to those visitors who don’t know to check sup before heading out…. Please be aware that the water in shower is hard water and the only way I felt clean was when I used dawn dish soap to clean my hair. Bed should be replaced as it was a mattress with foam topper and if you slept on your side you feel the rails.. Just an observation.
Didn't use the bikes but heard that they were okay. The cats and dogs were friendly- especially the cats, loved the lap cuddles…
Bacalar is a gem. We are very happy we got to experience before it turns more commercial. Felt very safe in town and enjoyed all the town offered.
All in all the property and the management were amazing, a few kinks but for the price we paid the value was on point. I hope this helps anyone who has chosen to visit Yayum, and I look forward to visiting bacalar in the future.
