"Hotel and facilities fantastic"

"Warm welcome and checking in, excellent evening meal and breakfast. Staff were wonderful. To rate at excellent we would if the bed was better, a poor quality matress topper, hard pillows and we could feel the hard mattress. The room was a hard climb into the eaves. Will book a room on the main floor for next stay there. Buxton is a beatiful place and we only stayed for one night on this occasion."

"We arrived early and staff went above and beyond to help us, allowing us to check-in early which was much appreciated. They’d even left a card and complimentary gift drink voucher in the room as they knew we were celebrating a birthday. Thankyou!"

"Sadly, we stayed on the wrong day. We arrived after a six hour drive to find out there was an eighties night on in the marquee about 20 steps from our room. It went on until after midnight. The music I could have coped with but the Dj and accompanying karaoke sounded like they were in our room, completely unnecessarily. Then the guests were in and out of the front entrance door next to our room until 4am. Not exactly the restful night I hoped for especially for our six hour drive the following day. We ate in the restaurant which was good and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. I would possibly stay again before checking there was no function on as the room represented good value for money."

"Dog welcome pack provided when travelling with a dog. Large grassy area to the rear perfect for before -bed dog walk, and placed in a room with easy access to the outside."

"Very basic. Hotel room wasn’t what I thought it would be. There were hardly any plug sockets and everything was hard work for example the kettle situation was very faffy. Also the bathroom fan was so loud. Bed was comfortable but it just didn’t live up to expectations. The foyer was very meh! I arrived on a Sunday and there was no food available so I had to Deliveroo. Not what it appears to be online."
