On this occasion the room was very small and was disappointed. Have stayed here 4 times previously and always had a better room. Hotel is very central and an ideal location for shops, bars and restaurants. Would stay here again as love Chester.

Old pub with rooms. Good history. Decent bar which was popular with locals. I stayed in room 2. Rooms 2-6 were quieter than the others (bar noise). Near the centre of town, great for strolling out to restaurants and other bars.

What a fantastic place to stay in the heart of Chester. The old historic building is full of all the period features which is lovely to see and all in fantastic condition. All the staff are very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was amazing fresh coffee and all you could expect in a full English breakfast to start your day. Thank you too all the team made our stay relaxed and comfortable. Will defiantly be staying here again.

Great base to stay in the heart of Chester. This is a very old building so expect sloping floors as it’s part of its history. Stayed twice now, staff are very helpful as will store luggage. The 3pm checking is rigid
